Information Communication Technology is transforming all sectors globally and agriculture sector is of no exception. As the global population is expected to increase by 3 billions people by 2050, there is a need to double food production.
And technology(ICT) has the potential to increase productivity and marketing opportunities for agriculture and agribusiness activities.

In our effort to promote agriculture and agribusiness activities in Liberia, we believe that the integration of Technology in agriculture will make the necessary impacts by making agriculture attractive and profitable for youth to invest. From this backdrop, we organize the Agri Tech Talks, a tech seminar intended to expose students and agribusiness individuals as well as farmers to available Information Technology platforms to enhance productivity and marketing. The one day event is a knowledge sharing and learning experience.
IT experts will share knowledge on the potential of Technology as well as available technologies and platforms for growth and productivity in the agriculture value chain.
The event is Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Light International School on 24th street, Sinkor, Monrovia. About 75 young farmers, IT students, farm managers, agriculture professionals and high school students have application and confirmed to attend the event.
