The contributions of community based youth organizations are immeasurable and irreplaceable but the challenge remains the lack of sustainability for their activities due to funding. With essential and transformative initiatives that are carry out at the community level, there is not much resources for the sustainability of their activities. However, Agro Tech Liberia sees it very necessary to support the sustainability of the community based youth organizations through crop production activities where they will be trained ans mentor in the growing of various crops with the produce sold for the support of their thematic program. The Youth Organizations sustainability project will support food security and youth organizations sustainability in Montserrado county targeting 20 organizations.

Agro Tech Liberia Calls for the establishment of Youth/Young farmers office at the Ministry of Agriculture In order to achieve the zero hunger targets in Liberia, we must involve the youth as stakeholders in the agriculture sector. The young people who are in the agriculture value chain must be recognized and supported by creating an office at the Ministry of Agriculture to Cater to the challenges of youth in agriculture so as to make other youth to see the sector attractive for investment and career opportunities.  We believe strongly that many youth in agriculture today are discouraged due to lack of support and national attention. The ministry must create this office that will assess the activities of youth in agriculture and agribusiness so there can be intervention design to empower and capacitate them for growth and productivity. Agro Tech Liberia launches Agribusiness Talks. The project is a radio program that is intended to promote agriculture and agribusiness activities in Liberia for  increase in investment in the agriculture sector. The radio program Will feature agripreneurs, young farmers and agriculture students to share their experiences, challenges as well as motivation. The project will currently run on a community radio, VOICE OF HOPE 100.7 FM and to be extended to other radio stations as funding is made available by donors or philanthropic individuals in and around Liberia. The long term impact of the project is to attract more young people to the agriculture value chain for economic development and food security as well as reduction in unemployment and poverty in Liberia. In 2018, Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-information Services(LISGIS) released a report that shows the poverty rate of 50.9% as well as 39.1% food poverty. The report also revealed household food shortage at 51.2%( urban 44%, rural 59%). The report also shows that the southeast is food insecure The data show that our food security is under threat and something must be done. What need to be done must include the participation of all Liberian. We must act as a country and people to keep the peace by having food accessible, affordable and efficient for our survivability.. We call on the national government and citizens to see the agriculture sector as a hope for reducing food prices and improvements of livelihood of the poor population...
